Overview
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Branch Operations Manager. This is a fast-paced position that will supervise 6 direct reports, with a team of approximately 70 located throughout the state. The Manager will travel to various DMV locations to provide support, and the ability to manage from varying locations, and pivot at a moments notice is required. Use of a state-owned fleet vehicle is encouraged for work-related travel. The position will be assisting and support the team with the day-to-day operations of licensing, registrations, and exam processes. Occasional work and communication outside of normal working hours are expected.
This position requires knowledge of creating and maintaining statistical reports to help guide and meet work demands. The Manager is also responsible for assisting in employee growth, while balancing workload demands which includes monitoring the DMV scheduling system to meet customer needs and address backlogs. Verbal and written communication occurs on a regular basis to the teams, peers, upper management, government officials, and customers. This position generally will not be eligible for telework.

In accordance with Title 23, Section 102(d), an applicant must agree to be finger-printed and pass a background investigation to be eligible for this position. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed mainly in an office setting. Stress may be involved when dealing with upset or irate citizens. Incumbents must be able to work under pressure from statutory deadlines for processing work. Some evening or overtime work may be required. Travel to all Motor Vehicle branch offices is required periodically.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience at or above a senior clerical level, including experience with the implementation or interpretation of Motor Vehicle laws AND one (1) year of experience as a supervisor.

Six (6) years of experience at or above a senior clerical level, including experience with the implementation or interpretation of Motor Vehicle laws AND one (1) year of experience as a supervisor.
