Core Responsibilities:

1. Assortment and Pricing Management (40%)

Assortment:

  • Responsible for the production and maintenance of all tools necessary to build, manage and communicate the LEGO Retail China assortment, including: Master Assortment Sheet, Price File, Monthly Launch Plan, and all other required support systems.
  • On a bi-weekly basis is responsible for identifying pertinent (SAP PLM) updates by country and channel and for updating the assortment sheet and product launch plan accordingly.
  • Responsible for issuing version change updates when required and ensuring full transparency to China Inventory Manager.
  • Represent LEGO Retail China in Global Master Data Network and through other data related Continuous Improvement forums.

Pricing:

  • Responsible for performing all tasks necessary to maintain the product pricing deployment across all LEGO Retail China sales channels.
  • Ensures correct RRP and sale price is always present within the SAP Matrix system.
  • Responsible for all LEGO Retail China catalogue and marketing material pricing approvals.
  • Maintains Shelf-edge pricing database for stores.
  • Keep good communication with Market Group China on the topics on novelties launch, sale clearance window and any outstanding.

Launch Process:

  • Populates China LEGO Branded Stores launch with relevant information and communicates the schedule to the relevant partners.
  • Own front-end of the shop.lego.com launch process, holding monthly launch meetings with all relevant partners.

Outbound Licensed Item Set Up and Procurement:

  • Collaborates pro-actively with the Master Data team, external vendors and support agencies to ensure all Licensed items and prices are set up as needed.
  • Work closely with store management team to dig in the demand from the stores on licensed items, use the goods with LEGO boxed items to enrich the categories, recruit more shoppers and improve the conversion rate in stores.

2. Assortment Planning & Merchandising (40%)

Seasonal Store Assortment Planning:

  • With the guidance of the EMEA/APAC/NA Assortment Manager, plan the seasonal assortment listing (planograms) for all LEGO Retail Stores in China.
  • Provide seasonal store planograms and merchandising layouts for each store, be in a good communication with store VM team to collaborate and implement the store floor plan and layout out of stores needs.

Exit Planning:

  • Plan, communicate, and maintain select SAP parameters for all exiting product.
  • Build and maintain a closing stock risk tracker, providing transparency and suggesting actions to the Inventory Manager regularly to reduce end of season inventories and discount volume.

Merchandising Directives:

  • Provide monthly/bi-monthly merchandising instructions to stores for all opportunistic and impulse fixtures.
  • Support marketing with planograms for seasonal campaigns and initiatives – discuss with marketing team on monthly campaign and define the best output in display

3. Collaboration (20%)

  • Work with internal and external partners to identify continuous improvement opportunities across all LEGO Retail Merchandising support systems and processes.
  • Participate and contribute to LEGO Retail China S&OP.
  • Support ad-hoc requests by the Store Operations team as they relate to pricing and assortment.

The LEGO Retail Merchandising and Operation Team is focused on ensuring that shoppers have the best access to LEGO Products and Merchandise across our Global LEGO Retail business. We are directly responsible for managing the global retail listing, launch strategy, merchandising plan, and pricing process for all LEGO Retail Stores!

Do you have what it takes:

  • Highly organized and capable of communicating efficiently with multi-national partners.
  • Ability to perform regular tasks with the highest precision and able to work pro-actively when working with deadlines.
  • Strong teammate and effective communicator.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or other related field.
  • Past experience in retail support, merchandising, or sales/account/customer management.
  • Paste experience in SAP, space planning software, or other retail/POS back-end systems is preferred.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
  • Experience in managing large amounts of data preferred.
  • Some domestic and international travel required, up to 30 days per year.
  • Self starting and motivated to be proactive and results driven.
  • Requires excellent communication skills and cultural understanding of relevant markets.
  • Business English (verbal and in writing) is expected and additional languages are preferred.
