Role Summary:

The receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests at the Istanbul Midpoint Hotel. As the first point of contact for guests, the receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process, handling guest inquiries and requests, and resolving any concerns or issues that arise. The receptionist also assists with billing and payment processes, maintains a clean and organized reception area, and ensures the safety and security of guests and their belongings.

Success in this Position:

Success in the receptionist position at the Istanbul Midpoint Hotel is measured by the ability to provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring that their stay begins and ends on a positive note. A successful receptionist is able to handle a high volume of guest inquiries and requests while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor, and is able to quickly and effectively resolve any issues that arise. Success is also measured by the ability to work collaboratively with other hotel staff, maintain a clean and organized reception area, and ensure the safety and security of guests and their belongings.

Role in the Hotel:

The receptionist position at the Istanbul Midpoint Hotel is an important role that serves as the first point of contact for guests. As such, the receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for guests and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their stay. The receptionist works closely with other hotel staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, and management, to ensure that guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience at the hotel. The receptionist reports directly to the Front Office Manager and works closely with the entire hotel team to ensure the success of the hotel overall.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and checking in guests.
  • ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Handling guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assisting with billing and payment processes, and resolving any guest concerns or issues .
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area, and ensuring the safety and security of guests and their belongings.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English, Arabic, and Turkish.
  • Minimal one-year of experience in hospitality management, with a focus on front desk operations and guest relations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow, and committed to providing exceptional customer service to guests.
