Products and solutions connect devices with networks and clouds, enabling users (men and machines) to communicate fast and safe in all technical environments. The company has grown steadily over the last decades, increasing market share and financial success respectively. It is working throughout the triad markets using own and distributors’ structures. The total revenue accounts for about 300m Euros, whereas 1/3 is gained in the European markets. The group wants to accelerate the growth, participating in the vast development of specific market segments, especially in Europe and Asia. The European HQ is in Munich/Germany with affiliated structures in France and Great Britain. In the future, the German organization must serve as a foothold in the industrial automation business including the multiple national research and development facilities and initiatives in this field. Today, the European structure comprises sales (distributors and key accounts), marketing, application engineering as well as a service/repair unit. In order to grow the existing business substantially, the future Head of Finance is looked for.
The purpose of this position is to lead the European finance function to deliver the integrity of financial and management reporting and tax compliance, support the regional business functions in the budgeting of business plans to achieve the business target and act as a valued member and sparring partner of the regional management team on commercial issues and close cooperation with the respective group functions. You will drive and coordinate the yearly planning, budgeting and forecast processes, ensure accurate and meaningful monthly management reporting review, highlight deviations and support development of countermeasures to achieve business targets and assume overall responsibility of the finance function of regional entities (co-work with external advisors, auditors and headquarter functions, ensure compliance to statutory & tax regulations and company policies). Additionally, you will actively participate and contribute to the further development and reengineering of systems and processes to improve quality of timely data and identify improvement areas for cost efficiencies. Finally, you are responsible for Leadership and development of the local Finance & Controlling team.
You are an academically trained individual (bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field, master or diploma preferred) with 5+ years of progressive experience in finance & controlling function, prior experience in tax/accounting/regulatory compliance, and experience in a multinational company. You also own first leadership experience or experience as right hand of the finance or controlling manager ready for next step as well as SAP experience. Your personality includes strong analytical skills, and competency in business partnering as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with people. Your working style is independent, proactive, and self-starting whereby you can work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. You approach to problem solving is logical and your out of the box thinking helps you to find new solutions. Integrity, accuracy and entrepreneurial spirit complete your profile. Your language skills in English and German are fluent (written and spoken). Any additional major European language is a plus.
